Unmatched Forecast Accuracy

1-month to 6-month lead anomaly correlation coefficient (ACC) for Planette Umi™️ compared to NOAA CPC Consolidated, ECMWF SEAS5, and other major ENSO forecasting products. An ACC closer to 1 indicates a more skillful forecast for a given lead time.

In the final stages of beta-testing, Umi™ has already demonstrated its superiority over existing seasonal El Niño forecasting products, with a lead time of up to six months. Unlike every other product on the market, Umi™ overcomes the notorious spring predictability barrier, which hampers the ability to forecast ENSO states through the spring season. This breakthrough makes Umi™ an invaluable tool for anticipating environmental change due to volatility in the Earth system.
